Phew! Moving my family and my business across the country was not easy. Although this move was magical in our grand tale of life, the chapter, itself, was filled with a few unexpected struggles and tears.
Fortunately, what gives tales their enchantment is the triumph that follows the hardships.
As of now, we are busy settling into the new enchanted tree house in Portland and dealing with the aftermath of these said moving problems. However, ready or not, the time has come to begin my next chapter. I must muster up all of my magic to rebuild my storytelling business from scratch, whilst I also continue writing my tales and spreading enchantments around the world. The only problem is, I haven't been feeling very magical.
Whilst observing the enchanted fur beasts this week, I realized that they naturally know how to stay magical every single moment of every single day. In case you don't have the pleasure of enjoying pets, I will share with you their secret recipe for a magical life:
When life gets you down, grab your friends and escape into the enchanted forest for an exploration adventure!
...but if you are exhausted and stressed, it's okay to take a nap. There is no shame in resting your body and mind!
Smile at the simple things! The sunshine, the clouds, the water lapping against the shore and the morning songs that the forest birds sing are all brilliant reasons to smile!
Be yourself! When your exhausted and feeling silly or emotional, don't try to cover it up with smiles. Express what you feel without self judgement!
Stretch! (You don't need to be a yogi or yogini to make your muscles feel good.)
Breathe! Don't just inhale fresh air, really take the time to smell it. (The enchanted pup spends hours smelling the new forest air!)
Rehydrate! Nourish your body with lots of fresh, clean water all day long. (Don't just drink it, soak and play in it too!)
Love! Spend time with those who support you and fill you up with positive feelings and energy!
I am grateful the enchanted fur beasts gently reminded me that feeling magical really is simple! If you don't have a four-legged friend to remind you how to live a life filled with love, magic and laughter, then PLEASE run to your local shelter and adopt one or volunteer immediately!
I hope everyone stayed magical whilst I was away! Xx
