Thanksgiving magic

The enchanted tree house has been in a constant state of hustle and bustle for the last two weeks. Between my Fall Fairy Tale Programs, editing, and writing, I have greatly neglected my internet friends and family. (Many apologies!) Since my love and I have been super busy over the last month, we decided to spend the day with our two favourite fur beasts in the magical comfort of the enchanted tree house. Together, we whipped up some magical foods and shared much laughter. Without spending any more than our weekly grocery bill and without the traditional stresses that go along with holidays such as these, this simple celebration re-energized us and filled us with magic! Just take a look...

I started my morning by visiting my favourite neighbor to drop off a special surprise...

Then I prepared a feast of simple, colorful and magical foods...

Rainbow potatoes (Yellow, orange, red and VIOLET!)

To make the experience extra enchanting (without having to spend a penny), I set a magical table upstairs instead of setting the table in our basement kitchen.

Kitty wanted to join the fun, too...

We had so much energy from the magical feast that we headed outside for a (muddy) forest hike and some playtime in the park!

When we got home, we enjoyed another extra special treat. I made vegan cheesecake with wild blueberry sauce.

You don't need to spend extra money or stress over a major holiday, you just have to keep things simple to have a bright and magical day! Happy Thanksgiving, friends! Xx
